- Résumé : This book is not just about interiors; it is about identity, intention, and the stories we carry within us. It explores what truly makes a home feel personal: not perfection, not trends, but the layers of real life. Through a more emotional and intuitive approach to design, this book invites you to move beyond “catalog-perfect” spaces and instead create a home that feels lived in, collected, and deeply yours. At its core, it is about reconnecting with your own taste, your memories, and your sense of self, and allowing those elements to shape your space without fear. A soulful home is not something you buy; it is something you build, piece by piece, with meaning.
- Biographie : Nicole Castillo is a Chilean-born interior photographer and creative based in northern Sweden. With a background in Art History and a deep passion for thoughtful design and visual storytelling, her work explores the emotional connection between people and the spaces they inhabit. After meeting her Swedish partner while working in Chile, Nicole moved to Sweden, where they built a life together and created a home in the forests of Swedish Lapland. Becoming a mother in a new country opened a transformative chapter in her life, one shaped by both beauty and challenge. Far from her Chilean roots and community, and navigating a new language and culture, she turned inward, focusing on creating a meaningful and nurturing environment for her family. This journey led her to the world of interiors, not as a trend, but as a tool for well-being, identity, and expression. She is the founder of Nicole’s Lantgård, an interior boutique, and works as an interior photographer, capturing homes and the unique stories behind them. Through her work and this book, Nicole invites others to see the home not just as a place, but as a reflection of life, memory, and self.
