Passionné d'histoire de l'art, de mode, de joaillerie et d'horlogerie, il a publié une quinzaine d'ouvrages chez Flammarion, notamment La Grande Histoire de la cravate, Cartier : styles et stylos, La Collection Cartier (Joaillerie, Horlogerie, Objets précieux), Audemars Piguet, le maître de l'horlogerie depuis 1875 et Girard Perregaux.
