  • Biographie : Jonathan Gornall is a journalist who has lived and worked in the Middle East and specializes in writing about the historical, cultural, and social aspects of life in the region. He is currently the lead writer for the in-depth multimedia “Deep Dive” features produced by the Riyadh-based Arab News, the oldest English-language news outlet in Saudi Arabia. The heritage subjects he has covered as part of this award-winning series include Saudi Arabia’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, the archaeological discoveries in the ancient AlUla Valley, and the history and redevelopment of Diriyah, the birthplace of the Saudi state. During the four years he spent working as a writer for The National, the English-language daily newspaper in the UAE, he visited and reported from a number of other countries in the region, including Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq.
