- Résumé : In this striking collection, Roland Cohen explores the cracks and contradictions in human relationships through stories laced with irony, dark humour and a daring challenge to social convention. His characters - driven by ambiguous motives and caught in unexpected circumstances - reveal the "strange moments" that define our lives: flashes of truth beneath the surface of everyday appearances. Between illusion and disillusion, power and manipulation, pleasure and transgression, these tales expose the hidden hypocrisies and restless obsessions of modern society - money, image, control, and the constant pursuit of instant gratification. Behind the wit and the absurdity lies a sharp, unsettling reflection on human nature and the fragile games we play. A provocative, darkly humorous journey into the restless heart of our times.
- Biographie : For Roland Cohen, suspense is everywhere - waiting at every turn. His thrillers draw inspiration as much from his observation of others, both famous and unknown, as from his keen awareness of current scientific and geopolitical issues. His career in event-based public relations has brought him into contact with politicians, scientists, and international business leaders. Alongside writing thrillers, he founded Realist Magazine, which explores the extraordinary side of current affairs and gives experts a platform to discuss topics off the beaten track. He studied in Paris and Chicago, and lives between Paris and the Perche region.
