- Résumé : Let's Speak French - Book 1 is a book on French grammar written in English with examples in French for better understanding. It is written to introduce learners to the French language. It aims at encouraging learners from English speaking countries - Anglophones - to learn French in an easier way, especially those who do not have the rudiments of French language. The book covers some basic grammar topics such as: the French alphabet, gender of nouns, determiners, linguistics, basic knowledge, common French expressions, conversation, numbers, prepositions of place, negation, asking questions and plural forms of nouns among others. A good reading and completion of this book will offer learners the ability of applying those basic French grammar rules when writing or speaking in French. They will also be able to communicate effectively and engage in everyday conversations in French.
- Biographie : Dio Kimber (John Dio Kimber III) was born on November 13, 1985 in Belwhan, Grand Kru County, Liberia. He studied French at the F.H. Boigny University, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Upon completion of his first degree, Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in French, he proceeded further for a master's degree (M.A) in French Language and Literature. His experience counts as a seasoned teacher in French Language studies. He was recruited as Supervisor, Trainer and Teacher by EDEP Association of Abidjan, a French Literacy Program where he taught French and motivated trainees. He was later assigned at Grand-Bassam where he established the Local Development School and conducted French literacy training classes for professionals, mostly degree holders, in the art of reading and writing the French language. He also taught the working adults. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Language and Literature, College of Arts and Sciences, William V. S. Tubman University.
