Kition-Bamboula X

The volume publishes the results of the excavations led by the French mission in the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age settlement at Kition-Bamboula (Larnaka, Cyprus). For the first time on the site, excavations conducted between 2018 and 2021 revealed a succession of levels documenting a continuous occupation from the 13th century until the turn of the millennium. The thorough study of the architectural remains and of the associated artefacts gives an important synthesis on a period (the Bronze to Iron Age transition) and a context (settlement), which were until now poorly known in Cyprus and, more broadly, in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Alexandre Rabot est ingénieur d'études en archéologie (laboratoire HiSoMA, UMR5189). Il intervient dans de nombreuses missions de cette unité; il s’occupe, en particulier, de la spatialisation des données archéologiques (topographie, cartographie, SIG, 3D).
