Résumé : Architect, designer, art director, photographer, film director, painter and true artist, Ico Parisi (Palermo 1916 – Como 1996) worked across multiple disciplines, guided by the Como tradition and vision of the total work of art. Through a meticulous narrative and previously unpublished photographs, this book traces, for the first time, Ico’s life alongside that of Luisa, his wife and creative partner, revealing the deeply complementary nature of their shared practice. A central chapter is devoted to La Ruota, opened in Como in 1948 and active until 1995: a store, studio and showroom combined, which stood as a point of reference for the evolution of tastes in interior design and a unique meeting place for artists, architects, critics and friends. This catalogue raisonné reconstructs the production of glassware, ceramics and other objects designed by Ico – sometimes with Luisa’s contribution – and documented in the archives. A collection that brings together outstanding craftsmanship with experimentation, providing an important scholarly resource to enthusiasts and collectors alike.
