  • Résumé : The CLAREP Journal of English and Linguistics (C-JEL), Volume 7, presents a compelling collection of seven research articles that illuminate the complex in- terplay between language, literature, culture, and society within African contexts. Spanning themes such as cognitive metaphor theory, postcolonial trauma narra- tives, phonological analysis, sociolinguistic variation, and educational technology, this volume showcases cutting-edge scholarship from leading African researchers and emerging voices in the field. Collectively, these contributions offer fresh per- spectives, empirical depth, and practical recommendations that advance scholarly conversations in Applied Linguistics and Literary Studies. C-JEL 7 represents a vi- tal contribution to the documentation and theorisation of African linguistic and lit- erary realities, and serves as a valuable resource for researchers, educators, and pol- icymakers committed to understanding the evolving dynamics of African languag- es and narratives in a global context. The Centre for Language Research and English Proficiency (CLAREP) is a non-gov- ernmental, non-profit educational organisation committed to advancing language research in Africa and promoting language proficiency across diverse spheres. Its mission is to foster excellence in linguistic scholarship and practice for the benefit of researchers, educators, and language users.
