Biographie : Frederick Douglass, né Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey en 1817 ou 1818, et mort le 20 février 1895 à Washington, est un orateur, abolitionniste, éditeur et fonctionnaire américain. Esclave à l'âge de 8 ans, il réussit à s'instruire et s'enfuit à l'âge de 20 ans.
