  • Résumé : "A Journey in China" is an adventure, a historical book, a mysterious tale and a fantasy or science-fiction story.
Here's something for all tastes! Is it a creature, monster, ghost, spirit or "Horla"? Who travels through time in China, from antiquity to the 3050s.
We meet Zhuolong, the dragon of the creation of the world, Huanghi nicknamed the Yellow Emperor, Genghis Khan the founder of the largest empire of all time, an Asian cockroach, Shu Zhang, a singer in Shanghai around 1930, Mao Zedong, the 14th Dalai Lama, John Manheimer, film assistant for the movie The Last Emperor, Guillaume who loves China, Sol Wu the robot having a human soul and Red Flag a mutant around 3050.

“I may be an extraordinary tale, a "Horla" created by man's imagination, an entity mixing fantasy and mystery. A traveller of a man's time and memory, perhaps one or several minds at a time, or the passing soul of several inhabitants of the earth. Still visiting, I come and go like the wind or the haze, unstable like the passing rumour. Perhaps I am nothing, just a fluid entering the body of others for a while.”
  • Biographie : Éric Masson was publisher and bookseller in Paris with a passion for literature. Now living in Hong Kong for 14 years, he teaches French at University and in several schools.
