- Résumé : This study is about the Contribution of leadership on the performance of commercial bank in Rwanda; and it has the following specific objectives: The first objective is to assess the leadership used by COGEBANQUE to meet the required standards. The second is to find out the contribution of an effective leadership to the performance of COGEBANQUE and the third objective is to establish the relationship between leadership styles and the performance of COGEBANQUE. Theories on the leadership and performance have been used to develop literature review; and different techniques and tools questionnaires and reports have been used to collect data. By using the software of SPSS 16.0 the collected data have been analyzed and hypothesis has been tested, by descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The sampled bank was one commercial bank which operates within the country COGEBANQUE . The first specific objective as it is to assess the leadership used by COGEBANQUE to meet the required standards. and due to the results from data analysis, it has been seen that based on the responses, the majority of respondents strongly agree that the applied leadership meet the required standards.
